#SRPFoundation contributed to solving a rural issue at a village near its factory in Kakkavadi.
The rural community get Cauvery water once in two days, while all households use buckets to store water and take it home, excess water gets wasted into the land. Most of the time the villagers don’t have water to drink and cook at nights. They sought help from us to establish a water tank to help store this excess water.
We built a tank to regulate the water supply. These tanks can help to prevent irregular distribution of water due irregular user demand or unforeseen factors such as weather related events.
Our foundation took up the work and helped the rural households overcome this problem.
On the eve of Environment day we took up the same place cleaned it and planted trees to support rains.
